Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Law Offices of Kim, Au & Associates, APC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit kaalawyers.com (the "Site") or contact us through it.

Information we collect

Information you provide. When you submit the contact form, we collect the name, phone number, email address, and the description of your matter that you choose to provide. Please share only what's necessary to start the conversation; the form is not a secure channel for highly sensitive details.

Information collected automatically. Our server records limited technical data such as your IP address and the time of your request. We use this only to operate the Site, prevent abuse, and rate-limit spam. The Site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and uses no analytics at this time.

Third-party resources. The Site loads fonts and an embedded map from Google. As a result, Google may receive your IP address as part of delivering those resources, subject to Google's own privacy policy.

How we use information

  • To respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether we can assist you;
  • To communicate with you about your potential matter;
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including preventing spam and abuse;
  • To comply with our legal and ethical obligations.

How information is shared

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the Site and communicate with you, and only as needed to do so:

  • Resend — delivers contact-form submissions to us by email;
  • Our email provider — receives and stores your message in our inbox;
  • Railway — hosts the Site;
  • Google — provides the embedded fonts and map.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or that of others.

How we protect information

Information you submit is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We restrict access to submissions to those who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We keep contact-form submissions for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for our legitimate business and legal purposes, after which we delete or de-identify them.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) may give you the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Your choices

You may request that we provide, correct, or delete the information you submitted to us by contacting us using the details below. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

No attorney–client relationship

Submitting the contact form or otherwise contacting us through the Site does not create an attorney–client relationship, and information you send before we agree to represent you may not be treated as confidential. Please do not send time-sensitive or confidential information through the Site until an attorney–client relationship has been established in writing. This Site is attorney advertising; nothing on it is legal advice.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when we post the revised policy with a new "Last updated" date.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you provide your mobile number — when you become a client or ask us to text you — authorized firm staff may send you informational text messages about your own matter, such as appointment reminders, document requests, and case status updates. Message frequency varies with case activity and is typically a few messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP or calling our office. Full program details are in our SMS Terms.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
